About Profiltubi S.P.A.
The Profiltubi Group is based in Reggiolo, in the province of Reggio Emilia, on an area of over 130,000 square meters. The company has been operating in the iron and steel sector for 50 years, specializing in the production of welded carbon steel tubes using the HF process, which can be produced in various shapes and sizes to meet customer requirements. Today Profiltubi plays a key role in the national and European steel industry thanks to the skills it has acquired, its efficient work processes and the use of innovative technologies. The first step into the future "Profiltubi world" was taken in 1971 in Reggiolo, when the Alfieri family founded Profiltubi S. p. a. with the aim of producing electro-welded carbon steel tubes. At this stage, production was entrusted to three machines developed entirely by the Alfieri family. The first years of activity are characterized by a strong and rapid expansion; after only 10 years, with 6 production lines and 2 cutting machines, Profiltubi is already one of the most important players in the national and European steel panorama. From the 1980s to the present day, the company has continued its growth and consolidation, doubling its production area, expanding its product range and starting to process new steels such as galvanized and pickled steels, made possible by the installation of its own production line (2015). In 2020, Auctus Capital Partners AG acquires the majority of shares and begins a collaboration with several members of the historic Alfieri family, who remain as minority shareholders in key management positions to ensure continuity with the past. The entry of the new investment partner marks the beginning of an ambitious growth project, both in terms of human resources and plant and machinery, whose aim is to confirm Profiltubi as one of the most important manufacturers of carbon steel tubes in Europe and worldwide. In September 2021, Profiltubi acquires 100% of the shares of O. M. V. Ventura, a tube factory specialized in the production of precision tubes mainly used in the automotive sector. The acquisition of O. M. V. is part of the ambitious industrial plan aimed at expanding the production range and strengthening the international presence.
