Maersk Drilling and Eni JDPA have agreed a two months contract to move the semi-submersible Maersk Deliverer rig to the Timor Sea, Australia, for oil and gas well explorations. The rig has the capacity to explore and drill at water depths up to 3000 meters and was built in 2009.

The contract is expected to start in March 2019 and has an option for an additional two months extensions, depending on the findings during the first phase.

The rig is currently positioned in Labuan, Malaysia, and just completed an oil well exploration program started back in March 2018.
